My Experience With Acid Reflux Disease

Acid Reflux Disease is not as ominous as it sounds, unless you are indeed a chronic sufferer that’s only recently found it necessary to try every over the counter heartburn product available. For many people what started as little bouts of heartburn every now and then, grows into more frequent trips to the drug store and before you know it you’re making an appointment with a doctor because you just don’t know what t do next.

Sound familiar? I’ve dealt with heartburn or ‘acid reflux disease’ for most of my adult life. I had made it to the end of the line, as far as my peace of mind and pain tolerance were concerned. Something had to change. And I needed some guidance about how and what to change. Acid Reflux Disease

So I went to a doctor appointment and was given a prescription. It kind of worked, but not for long and I soon found myself making another appointment with a different doctor. I was given a prescription for a different medicine. It sort of worked for a while and then didn’t. Are you seeing the pattern?

Yeah, so I decided there must be a better way to deal with acid reflux disease. I started looking toward natural and ancient medicine to see what morsels of wisdom I may find to alleviate my heartburn suffering.

At first reading through the holistic medicine websites seemed every bit as confusing as pharmaceutical and western medicine has always been; a zillion different supplements to choose from instead of the zillion acid reflux drugs. Natural Remedies for Acid Reflux

But as I read I began to understand some of the big differences between modern medicine and ancient medicine of various peoples. Ancient or natural/holistic medicine always works to correct imbalances that are the root causes of the given disease or painful condition.

Modern Western medicine is more concerned with quick results and appearances. Modern medicine treats the symptoms and not the causes, the underlying imbalances that take place from time to time.

Only by simplifying our lives can our body effectively alert us to these imbalances and guide us toward the foods that will help return us to full health. I’ve found that as I quit medicating my heartburn I was able to ‘hear’ my body better. I was able to determine which foods set off acid reflux and which did not. Acid Reflux Treatment

Over time I’ve continued to make subtle changes I my eating habits and it’s been more than three years since a serious bout of heartburn. I encourage you to look into the underlying causes of your acid reflux as well. Of course everyone’s situation is different, but there are simple things we can do to increase our comfort and wellbeing even if it does not completely alleviate all symptoms.

Please consult your healthcare professional before taking any medical advice.

Five Ways Manual Lymph Drainage can Relieve Your Ailments

Are you bothered by sinusitis that has been sore and gives facial pressure to your face? Or maybe you don’t like the way your leg looks because of edema. Have you been plagued by insomnia for several days and getting any sleep has become a long lost dream? Manual Lymph Drainage is the best, therapeutic approach in relieving these issues.

Manual Lymph Drainage has been known since Dr. Vodder together with his wife created this massage technique in 1932. This Danish physician believed that physical manipulation over the lymphatic vessels can help in relieving several illnesses. This approach was first applied for patients who had swollen necks. The swollen necks or extremities have been associated with inadequate lymph circulation. The massage techniques involves very easy movements, usually circular motion.

Here are five ways how Manual Lymph Drainage can give relief from your ailments. First of all, Manual Lymph Drainage can help in relieving edemas. Edemas or swelling of the extremities had been a problem not just for older people but even for some younger people. But how do they acquire this type of condition. Let us go back to science by recalling what the lymph system is. The Lymph system of the body acts as the “maintenance department” of your body. Lymph is the fluid that acts as a waste collector that continuously travels along your veins to gather up toxins to detoxify and keep your immune system in good shape. Once one component of the lymph system has malfunctioned, the lymph movements will slow down. This will lead to accretion of toxins and will cause swelling. Stimulation will make it possible for the lymph to circulate better and remove the swelling.

Manual Lymph Drainage also detoxifies your bodies. Since the massage makes it possible for the lymph to move properly, it regulates the collection and disposal of toxins. Thus keeping us healthy in the process and preventing our bodies from future accumulation of these foreign substances.

If you have been having an issue with rhinitis or sinusitis, Manual Lymph Drainage is a good way of relieving them. The same principle with the edema applies. Manipulation will lessen the soreness of the sinus and thus lessen facial pressure.

Frequent headaches are also treated with Manual Lymph Drainage. Manual Lymph Drainage will give relief from pain while Connective Tissue Manipulation ensures that the process is going to prevent the future recurrence of the headache. Manual Lymph Drainage is always done with Connective Tissue Manipulation as the processes work hand in hand with each other. Connective Tissue Manipulation is the process of massaging the connective tissues of our bodies to lessen the tension and tightness. This two work hand-in-hand to give us relief from our ailments.

And aside from these physical ailments, Manual Lymph Drainage is also helpful when it comes to relaxation and insomnia. The relaxing Manual Lymph Drainage manipulation ensures that you recieve a natural, no side effect aid to getting to sleep.

Manual Lymph Drainage is a holistic approach when it comes to relieving ailments. It targets not just our ailment but aids in cleansing our body and provides relaxation as well. If you are not comfortable taking different types of medications for the pain, then Manual Lymph Drainage is your best option when it comes to relieving your pain.

Selling is Easy

“I can’t sell”, I hear you say. Rubbish, everybody can sell. If you ever got a job, sold your car or sold yourself to another person (ie. got married or formed a relationship), you have proven your ability to sell. We sell ideas to others all the time, we just don’t view it as selling.

The role of a sales person is to find out what the prospective client wants rather than whether the customer wants something at all. Once this is done, a sales professional should then help the customer satisfy that need to the customers’ satisfaction. The principle skills a successful salesperson needs are:

* Putting your customers in a receptive state of mind, making them feel at ease and unpressured.
* Showing interest in their questions or needs.
* Using opinions as selling points (both yours and theirs).
* Supplying facts and helpful information.
* Meeting objections in a positive way and never becoming defensive or aggressive.
* Agreeing with customers.
* Suggesting additional products or services.(Value adding)
* Building repeat business.

It’s important that you learn to apply these techniques, although if you apply tact, friendliness, honesty and you know what you’re talking about, you’re 90% there. Not difficult when you consider it.

I know of quite a few small business people that would never consider themselves sales people but have remarkable success at selling their offers by just being themselves. Is this being a good sales person? Probably.

An old friend of mine, Peter owns a adult store in one of Brisbane’s trendier suburbs. He spent many years of his life working for the military. It never ceases to amaze me, and his business partner, how this “untrained” person can sell products by just being himself. He is a natural salesman.

On the days he looks after the shop instead of his partner, the sales are always up compared to when he’s not there. If you were to ask him if he thought he was a good salesman he would probably say no, but the sales figures speak for themselves.

He does it by being a friendly, nice person that loves a joke and a chat with his customers. Most of his customers would never go elsewhere because they like him. I’m sure even if he put his prices up, he would still attract the same customers because they have a relationship with him. They feel good about shopping at his store; he makes sure they do. Everybody can sell, simply use your own personality and be friendly and courteous. Treat customers the way you would like to be treated.

Top sales people make a point of remembering regular customers’ names, ensuring each time they come to the store they receive a small discount or offering other little extras like helping them to the car with their parcels. As I mentioned before with my friend, he fosters friendships with his regular customers. This fosters loyalty to the business by the customer, quite often regardless of price, because they get preferential treatment. You’ve probably had the feeling yourself when you constantly use a particular business and each time you walk in the people don’t just ask for the order.

Generally, sales people feel awkward about asking the customer for the order. These sales people will never be really successful in sales. A lot of sales are lost simply because the sales person doesn’t put the onus back on the customer to make a decision, they simply leave the decision up in the air which allows the potential customer to quietly move out the door without having to commit themselves to a decision. How many times do you do this? I do it all the time and think to myself, “I’m glad nobody put me under pressure, I probably would have spent money”.

Buy Kindle 2 – New Generation Electronic Book Reader

April 29, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

First, Amazon pioneered online bookstores so people can purchase books without visiting the bookstores. Then, they redefined reading by enabling people to read books without the books through the Kindle 2 eBook Reader. And if those privileged with the initial Kindle are still gaga over it, wait till they catch sight of the new generation Kindle 2. In a nutshell, the Kindle 2 is the original Kindle with a big step further into the future of reading.

Like many other things, new-wave reading is electronic. If the eBook Reader is Oprah’s current favorite gadget, so will it be for many of her fans. Sure enough, the Kindles have been flying off the shelves. And why not, all-in-one shopping, purchasing and immediate downloading of books online anytime anywhere in the US and you don’t even need a computer for that as it’s done on the reader itself.

There are quite a few brands of electronic book readers in the market but only a handful of them are generally considered to be up to mark. The two heavyweights are the Amazon Kindle and Sony PRS and they split bragging rights over various factors albeit not exactly in neck and neck fashion. If independent review sites are anything to go by, the Kindle has an emphatic overall edge and is powering away with its second edition – Kindle 2.

To Buy Kindle 2, you have to act fast. Stock-outs especially during peak seasons are nothing new with the Amazon eBook Reader Kindle 2. For back-to-back Christmases, they sold out long before the holiday proper. Quoted delivery lead time continues to be volatile due to all the rage that it is now. EBay may be an alternative marketplace for the red hot e reader but price premium may be needed to circumvent the crunch.

Analysts estimate that the original Kindle eBook Reader sold in excess of half a million units. Going by the current rate, the Kindle 2 is poised to sell lots more. That means it’s not only good for readers, it’s great for the environment. Electronic book readers can substitute the need for books so the Kindle 2 can save quite a few trees from being turned into paper for them. Yes, Buy Kindle 2 is green.

The Kindle 2 Electronic Book Reader is also easier for your pockets. Although somewhat pricey, it essentially pays for itself pretty quickly especially in the case of avid readers. Amazon ebooks cost half that of their paper counterparts. Shop, buy and retrieve books online through Whispernet directly on the reader itself and bypass the hassle and expenses of driving around and waiting in line. Free sampling of Amazon ebooks is also a standard practice.

Royalty free music is not, as some people think, actually free in most cases. What it is, is free of the need to pay ‘royalties’. That means you can use the music without danger of being sued by the copyright owner and without having to cut them a check every time you use it.

However, in a lot of cases there is a hefty price tag to get hold of such music. In such cases it can simply be too expensive for the average person to afford. There are ways to get hold of royalty free music at an affordable price, by buying from sites that specialize in royalty free music, such as orchestralimpact.com

Be careful to check the exact terms when you by royalty free music downloads because the license may allow royalty free use on everything, except for broadcast TV. Like so many things, the license terms for one particular product may not be identical to another, similar product.

Good quality royalty free music should sound relatively full. You want to be able to hear all the nuances in the original sound. Carefully selected music and audio effects used with care can add to a web visitor’s experience, but be careful to avoid placing a strain on their internet connection! They won’t thank you for that.

One way to avoid the problem is to look for music that offers a variety of compression levels. That way you can use a small clip where it’s needed, but link to the full quality clip if you want to showcase the best sample.

Careful choice of a suitable royalty free music clip can enhance the impression of professionalism in your next internet audio project, ebook, tele-seminar or video.

How Many Homeowners Choose to Alter Their Landscaping

April 27, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

Are you one of the thousands of people who will set out to beautify their property this year through landscaping? Well, the fact is that there are people who will just go out and plant some bushes and put down some mulch, and then there are people that really put some thought behind their landscaping designs. Here are a few tips that may help you out this year with your landscaping project.

You may want to start with your shrubs and bushes. The practice of trimming and shaping your bushes into different shapes is called topiary. This is a great place to start when you want to add some life to your yard. If you want to start off simple, try shaping your bushes into squares/cubes or egg shaped figures. This will make a big difference in the way that your front yard looks and will also set your yard apart from your neighbors yards. Many homeowners like to improve their homes landscaping designs in order to raise the value of their homes. If you want to get into more complicated shapes, grab a landscaping magazine or research the term topiary and you should see some more complicated shapes that look wonderful. Some of the popular trees to trim are holly and cedar trees when they are just growing.

Another welcome addition to and yard or garden is to add water to it in the form of a fountain or small pond. Fountains are wonderful additions to any property. They are extremely soothing when you are working in the garden and they are beautiful structures to look at as well. If you are adding a fountain to your home make sure that you know what you are doing. Even new homeowners can come up with great looking landscape design ideas for their homes. This is not a task that a novice should take on. There will be plumbing lines that will need to be run in order to get water to the fountain and tons of other structural things that will need to be done. On the other hand, a stand alone pond is a slightly less complicated task to take on but still one that requires skills. If you are going either way, make sure that you read plenty of books on the subjects before you get started or higher someone who knows the ins and outs of the business.

There are many people who will decide to take up the art of landscaping this year. How can you alter your landscape designs to make them look better? Two pretty popular landscape ideas are to shape your bushes via topiary and another is to add water to your landscaping through fountains or ponds. If you are new to landscaping then you should probably start off shaping your bushes into simple shapes. Someone that knows more about landscaping can try to add ponds and fountains to their house. Follow these two simple steps and enough your new landscaping designs this spring.

Clone Golf Clubs for a Tough Economy

April 27, 2009 by · Leave a Comment

There are many reasons to get a new set of golf clubs. New club technology makes it easier to get the ball in the air. New club designs give you more distance on mis-hits. Cutting edge golf equipment makes the game more enjoyable and fun.

That is, until you have to pay for it.

Golf clubs and other equipment is expensive. With the economy as bad as it is, everyone is looking for  discount golf irons and value-priced golf club drivers. Still, that new Callaway or Ping driver looks nice, doesn’t it?

But does it really cost $500 to make that new driver? Of course not. The materials for that pricey driver are around $10-20. So who’s getting rich? A lot of people are taking their cut along the way. The club manufacturer pays an entire staff of research scientists to come up with the latest innovations. They spend big bucks on TV, magazine and other print media ads. They pay huge endorsements to PGA touring pros so they will play their equipment and wear their logo. All that cost’s money. And then, of course they have to add in their own profit for share holders.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could get that same quality of club without having to pay the pros endorsements (as if they don’t already make enough!) and other associated costs?

Did you know you already can?

They are called clone golf clubs. These are clubs that have head components cast and forged at the same foundries overseas that make the name brand golf equipment. These components are then assembled in the US with quality shafts and grips. You get a quality club for 1/4 to 1/5 the price of a name brand golf club.

There are several different companies who sell knockoff drivers, irons and other golf club clones. One of the best ways is to visit an aggregator site that shows you some of the best clubs from different clone golf club manufactureres. One such site is www.DiscountGolfClones.com.

The best thing is that you can get that new set of golf clubs, even in this brutal economy, and not feel guilty about it at all. In fact, with the money you save, you will actually have the money to spend on green fees so you can enjoy them on the course.

Hit ‘em long and straight!
